Retailer says Chiefs fans looking for vintage looks this year
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - This season, the Chiefs look includes a lot more than t-shirts and jerseys! Fans are finding plenty of red and gold at local boutiques.
Drew Barr, the general manager at The Bunker in Westport, said fans are looking to throw it back this year.
“Go chiefs! Let’s bring home another Super Bowl,” Barr said. “This season has been fun. Mostly, people are looking for that special vintage-inspired piece that reminds them of days gone by; we’ve got a good selection of that.”
Barr said they’ve had to stock up because of all the hype and order a larger shipment for the next delivery.
“The fanbase really likes this team; there is a lot to like about them, so a lot of people come in,” Barr said.
Of course, he said, since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship, their overall sales have also increased.
“Taylor has made a lot of our items sell,” Barr said. “For better or for worse, I’m all for it.”
