Chiefs fans boarding flights to Baltimore for AFC Title Game
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Many of the red and gold faithful geared up to take to the skies to follow the Chiefs to Baltimore.
There was one non-stop Southwest flight headed to Baltimore Friday at 5:10 p.m.
Tammy Kent and her husband were on the flight, saying this is their first Chiefs away game.
“Go big or go home, right?” Kent said. “It’s a competitive thing; there’s a lady who works with us, and every time she comes to visit, she has a Ravens jersey on, and we are sort of sick and tired of seeing it and hearing it. So, we are going to show her what it’s all about.”
Denna Matt and her husband, Cory, are season ticket holders and said they’re hopeful for a big win.
“A close game, but a win,” Cory said. “This run has been awesome, we’re excited.”
Stephanie Kurtz caught an earlier connecting flight to Baltimore.
“I’m so excited; it’s so much fun to see them,” Kurtz said. “Three Super Bowls would be amazing. I think we can do it; I think we have a great team.”
Kurtz said she was surprised by how many Chiefs fans she saw also going to the game.
“I think for the team, it makes it more fun, and it makes it more celebratory there,” Kurtz said. “Hopefully, we’ll have something to celebrate, and it’ll be fun regardless.”
