Independence man facing multiple murder charges booked into Jackson County Detention Center

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) - The Independence man facing multiple felony charges -- including two for first-degree murder -- was booked into the Jackson County Detention Center on Tuesday.
Larry Acree, a 69-year-old man, was booked Tuesday night.
Acree is alleged to have shot and killed Jackson County court process server Drexel Mack and Independence Police Ofc. Cody Allen on Thursday, Feb. 29.

Acree was charged Friday, March 1 with two first-degree murder charges and two counts of armed criminal action.
He is being held on a $2 million bond.
