KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl-winning squad in 2023 held one final celebration Thursday night at the Nelson Atkins Museum.

Players got their Super Bowl LVIII rings in the final organized event commemorating Kansas City’s back-to-back title.

After unveiling the rings to the team, the Chiefs posted on social media a video detailing the ring. It features 529 diamonds and 38 rubies.

The side of the ring reads “BACK-TO-BACK” to commemorate Kansas City’s Super Bowl wins over Philadelphia and San Francisco. The ring also has footballs with the initials of Lamar Hunt and Norma Hunt, the original owners of the franchise.

On the front, behind an Arrowhead logo is the four Lombardi trophies, celebrating Kansas City’s four Super Bowl titles all-time.

The rings feature a hidden hinge mechanism which opens it from the top to reveal additional storytelling. With head coach Andy Reid’s handwriting, the reverse side of the ring top displays the “Tom & Jerry” play design, which resulted in a game-winning 3-yard touchdown from quarterback Patrick Mahomes to wide receiver Mecole Hardman.

A miniature red football field on the inside of the ring showcases the same amount of Lombardi trophies as a player has won with the organization and the years on the inside of the ring showcase the seasons a player has been with the Chiefs.

On the inner portion of the ring where a finger would go, another Arrowhead is placed with the word “UNITED” and the scores and matchups of all four of Kansas City’s playoff games from the past season. That area also features each player’s unique signature.

Kansas City opens its back-to-back title defense on Thursday, Sept. 5, against the Baltimore Ravens.
