KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - One organization came together to give area students a back-to-school boost while also rallying for peace in Kansas City.

On Friday, Aug. 16, the Peace Patrol hosted a rally to stop violence in Kansas City metro area schools. The group gave away backpacks and school supplies at the Blue Valley Court Townhomes, 2190 Wheeling Ave.

The organization also called for more protection to keep children safe from gun violence - in and out of school.
