Bobby Witt, Jr. marries high school sweetheart
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - When you’re a gold glover, you know something about making catches. Royals superstar Bobby Witt, Jr. may have made his greatest one yet.
‘Bobby Baseball,’ as he is affectionately referred to, married his high school sweetheart Maggie Black in Dallas on Dec. 14.
Three hundred guests attended the black-and-white-themed wedding, including the entire Royals team.
“We wanted our wedding to be fun and something our friends would never stop talking about,” the bride said. “Our goal was to throw the party of the year.”
People Magazine says the romance started in high school when Bobby asked Maggie’s best friend for her schedule so he could transfer into her physics class.
On his Instagram story, Maggie said “we danced, we sang, we all went home with sore feet. It was a great night!”
