Belton, Mo. (KCTV) - A Missouri lottery player can fund his new company after winning big.

After purchasing a Powerball ticket from a Belton gas station, the player had to check multiple times to make sure his eyes weren’t deceiving him.

“I had to double and triple check it, but it was there!” he said.

The winner matched four of the five white-ball numbers along with the Powerball number. The combination equaled a $50,000 prize.

“It’s going to go right into the fund for my new company,” he said.

Players in Cass County have won more than $16.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes in 2024 with more than $7.5 million going toward educational programs.
