KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Plan ahead to make sure you have somewhere warm to stay during the storm. That includes a backup plan in case you lose power.

One option is a Mid-Continent Public Library branch. All branches will become warming centers during this weekend’s impending winter storm.

The Mid-Continent Public Library has 34 locations throughout the Kansas City area. The public is welcome to enjoy a book, use the internet or computers, or enjoy the warmth.

Make sure you bring any medication or snacks that you may need during the day.
