$455K set to help improve 23 neighborhoods across Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Around $455,000 is set to go toward improvement projects in nearly 2 dozen neighborhoods across Kansas City.

City leaders in Kansas City, Missouri, announced on Friday, Feb. 21, that $455,000 would be awarded to 23 neighborhood groups through the Midyear Neighborhood Empowerment Grant Cycle.

City officials noted that the grants provide crucial funds to enhance the quality of life in communities across the City of Fountains. The grant project funds various initiatives, such as beautification, public safety, and infrastructure improvements.

Officials indicated that this cycle’s 23 recipients represent neighborhoods across the metro as they work to create a stronger and more vibrant community. Grant awardees are as follows:

  • 29/30 Greenwood Urban District (GUD)
  • Blue Hills Neighborhood Association
  • Cedarbrooke Homes Association, Inc.
  • Coleman Highlands
  • Community Resource Team
  • Crossroads Community Association
  • Heart of the City Neighborhood Association, Inc.
  • Historic Manheim Park Association
  • Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council
  • Kensington Place Homes Association
  • Key Coalition Inc. Neighborhood
  • Marlborough Community Coalition
  • Plaza Westport Neighborhood Association
  • Pendleton Heights Neighborhood Association
  • River Market Community Improvement District
  • Sheffield Neighborhood Association (SNA)
  • Sheraton Estates Neighborhood Association
  • South Round Top Neighborhood Association
  • Washington Wheatley Neighborhood Improvement Association
  • Wendell Phillips Neighborhood Association
  • Westside CAN Center
  • Westside Neighborhood Association
  • Woodbridge Homes Association
