LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (KCTV) - A Leavenworth man is facing sentencing for a strange series of events that he pleaded guilty to on Wednesday.

According to the Leavenworth County Attorney’s Office, 25-year-old Dalton W. Saffer was arrested on Oct. 6, 2024, after the Leavenworth Police Department was called to a Domino’s Pizza on S. 5th Street.

When officers arrived, they reportedly found Saffer sitting on the ground in front of a shattered Domino’s window and claiming to be God. The officers tried to get him to move, but he instead fully undressed and slapped an officer while they tried to detain him.

Saffer was charged with battery and criminal damage. On March 5, he pleaded guilty to both and is now awaiting a sentencing trial in April 2025.
