Tire deflation device ends police chase, man arrested on 50k bond

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A police pursuit in Peculiar resulted in a 20-year-old facing multiple charges.

Cass County Deputies were notified by the Peculiar Police Department of a vehicle pursuit at around 10:30 p.m. on Friday. Law enforcement caught up to the vehicle near I-49 and 163rd St. in Belton.

After catching the car, Belton Police deployed a tire deflation device. The suspect exited the vehicle without complication. The Criminal Apprehension Unit then arrested the driver, 20-year-old Brady Waughtal of Peculiar.

Waughtal faces multiple charges including Aggravated Fleeing a Stop and Operating a Motor Vehicle in a Careless and Imprudent Manner.

Waughtal is held at the Cass County Jail with a $50,000 cash only bond.
