KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Police Department has identified 31-year-old Javonie E. Minor as the victim in Sunday’s shooting.

The initial call came in around 8:22 p.m. on June 1 for a shooting at 2900 Wabash Avenue, two miles east of Crown Center.

When officers arrived at a house on Wabash, they found an adult man, later identified as Minor, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Kansas City Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital. Shortly after, he was pronounced dead.

Information shows there was an argument outside the house between multiple people that led to the shooting. The shooting is being investigated as a homicide, and no one is in custody. KD is asking neighboring residents if they witnessed the scene.

If anyone has any information, they are asked to homicide detectives at 816-234-5403 or the TIPS hotline anonymously at 816-474-TIPS. A reward of up to $25,000 is available for any information submitted anonymously at the TIPS hotline.
