Missouri woman charged for brutal attack that left victim nearly unconscious

BETHANY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Missouri woman is behind bars after she allegedly brutally attacked another woman and left her nearly unconscious over the weekend.

Harrison County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Friday, May 30, indicate that Anaise Saulters, 28, of Bethany, has been charged in connection with a brutal attack.

A probable cause statement filed by the Bethany Police Department revealed that on Friday, law enforcement officials were called with reports of an attack. Investigators found that Saulters had been in a verbal argument with the victim when she allegedly choked the victim in an attempt to strangle her.

Law enforcement officials noted that Saulters ultimately let the victim’s neck go before she continued to hit and kick her to the point where the victim almost fell unconscious. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

As a result, Saulters has been charged with assault in the second degree. As of Monday afternoon, she remains behind bars with no bond listed. An initial court appearance was held on Monday morning, June 2, with a bond hearing scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4.

No further information has been released.
