KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Two people are injured following a Saturday afternoon crash in Wyandotte County.

It happened at around 12:20 p.m. after a driver lost control of their vehicle on Interstate 635 Northbound.

A preliminary investigation from the Kansas Highway Patrol shows that the crash happened when a GMC Sierra lost control on I635 Northbound and struck an Acura TL. The Acura then spun out of control causing a third vehicle, a Toyota 4Runner, to hit a fourth vehicle, a Volkswagen Jetta.

The 4Runner then struck both a fifth and sixth vehicle, a Nissan Altima and a Toyota Tacoma. The Jetta then hit a seventh vehicle, a Kia Sorento. The Kia Sorento then hit an eighth vehicle, a Toyota RAV 4.

The driver of the Toyota Acura and the driver of the Volkswagen Jetta were both taken to local hospitals with suspected minor injuries.
