Silver Alert canceled: missing 70-year-old woman has been found safe

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A previously missing Kansas City woman has been located and is safe.

The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department has issued an endangered silver advisory alert for a missing woman.

Authorities said 70-year-old Karen Thompson was last seen near the Tiffany Hills Townhomes at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Thompson is 5′4″, 170 pounds, has gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white floral print shirt and pink “jogging” style pants with no shoes.

Police said Thompson suffers from Dementia and is considered endangered.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the KD at 816-234-5043.
