Mother charged with murder in death of daughter, 3, after body found amid search for girl
NEWARK, Del. (Gray News) – Authorities in Delaware say a mother has been charged with murder in the death of her 3-year-old daughter after a body was found.
According to Maryland State Police, Darrian Randle, 31, and her boyfriend, Cedrick Britten, 44, have both been charged in connection with the death of the girl, Nola Dinkins.

Police said an Amber Alert was initiated Tuesday night for Nola after a reported abduction involving the child.
Nola’s mother told authorities her daughter had been kidnapped at gunpoint by a stranger. She said her daughter was upset while she was driving, so she pulled over to calm her down when the man approached.
However, detectives later determined the information provided by the girl’s mother was false and began treating the situation as a homicide investigation.
Wednesday evening, New Castle County Police said they requested Maryland State Police to respond to Randle’s last known address, where they made with Britten.
Maryland State Police said investigators found human remains in a vacant lot in North East, Maryland, amid the search for Dinkins.
Randle has been charged with first and second-degree murder, first-degree child abuse resulting in the death of a minor under 13 and other related offenses. Britten is facing charges that include accessory to first- and second-degree murder and failure to report a child death, police said.
