Platte County burglary suspect taken into custody after search
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A suspect was taken into custody after two separate burglary reports in Platte County.
The Platte County Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple residential burglary reports on Tuesday.
At approximately 8:20 a.m. on June 10, authorities responded to the Timber Park area for the first report. The suspect was believed to still be on foot in the area at that time.
Multiple units responded and began searching for the suspect using K-9′s and drone deployment. Deputies continued to search the Timber Park area, Summit Way neighborhood and Prairie Creek Greenway for the suspect until 12:15 p.m. with no results.

At approximately 4:10 p.m. later that day, deputies responded to a residence on Running Horse Road on another report of residential burglary. Upon arrival, deputies located and took a suspect into custody. The suspect matched the description of the first residential burglary report of the day.
The suspect received medical attention on scene before being transported to the Platte County Detention Center. The suspect was then placed on a twenty-four hour investigative hold pending the filing of charges.
No further information has been released.
