Driver taken to hospital after pickup truck crashes into her car in Eagleville

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - One driver was taken to an area hospital after a pickup truck pulled out of the parking lot of an Eagleville business and crashed into her car.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that around 8:15 a.m. on Friday, June 13, emergency crews were called to an area of Route N in Eagleville with reports of a 2-vehicle crash.

When first responders arrived, they said they found a 58-year-old Eagleville man had been trying to leave the parking lot of a nearby business in a 1997 Dodge Ram. Meanwhile, a 66-year-old Eagleville woman had been driving a 2005 Scion XB east on the highway.

State Troopers said that as the pickup’s driver pulled out of the parking lot, he pulled into the Scion’s path. He crashed into the front enger side of the ..

Emergency crews indicated that the 66-year-old woman was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.

Investigators noted that the other driver escaped the crash without injury. The Scion was totaled as a result, while the pickup sustained extensive damage. No further information has been released.
