Missouri man arrested after accusations of years of child sexual abuse made
DAVIESS CO., Mo. (KCTV) - A Missouri man could spend the rest of his life behind bars after accusations of years of child sexual abuse were made against him.
Daviess County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Tuesday, May 10, indicate that Miles A. Baldwin, 34, of Cameron, has been charged in connection with allegations of years of child sexual abuse.
A probable cause statement revealed that an investigation by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office found that Baldwin had allegedly sexually abused a child multiple times between Sept. 29, 2012, and Dec. 31, 2020.
The victim, who was under the age of 12 at the time of the abuse, reported that the crimes continued less frequently after Baldwin moved out of Daviess County.
As a result, Baldwin was charged on Tuesday with statutory rape in the first degree, statutory sodomy an dendagering the welfare of a child in the first degree through sexual conduct. If convicted, he could be sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison.
Court documents noted that a warrant had been issued for Baldwin’s arrest, which was served on Wednesday, June 11. As of Thursday evening, he remains behind bars with no bond listed.
A bond reduction hearing has been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17.
