Hannah ed the Missouri Capitol Bureau as a reporter in the summer of 2024, but she’s no stranger to Jefferson City. For three years, Hannah covered state and local politics for the Columbia-Jefferson City station ABC 17. Hannah reported on protests, historic court rulings and the day-to-day of the Missouri General Assembly, all things she continues to do in her current role. In addition, Hannah focused on investigative reports, was the station’s weekend evening anchor and was honored by the Missouri Broadcasters Association for her reporting.

While with ABC 17, Hannah met her soon-to-be husband, who was a photographer and producer at the station. The two bonded over a shared love of the outdoors, and plan to continue hiking, kayaking and exploring national parks together forever after their January 2025 wedding. The couple lives happily with their cat, who they found in the ABC 17 parking lot.

Before moving to Missouri, Hannah attended Texas A&M University where she graduated with honors majoring in Telecommunications and Media Studies with a minor in Journalism. Hannah served as the managing editor of The Battalion, Texas A&M’s over 125-year-old student newspaper. Hannah was the only student reporter to attend George H.W. Bush’s funeral services in Houston, her team’s coverage of the funeral was later honored by the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association.

Hannah spent a semester in Washington, D.C., working for her hometown’s congressman, learning the ins and outs of the nation’s government. She then learned about covering state politics while interning with a news station in the Texas Capitol.
