Kara is a lifelong Kansan, born and raised in Pratt, Kansas. She began her journey in journalism as a sports reporter for her local newspaper, The Pratt Tribune. Kara started as an intern for KWCH and is currently working as a digital producer and anchor for 12 News+. 1u5z6j
She will graduate from Wichita State University in December 2024 with a bachelor's degree in Communication, emphasis on journalism and media production. She is ionate about storytelling and sharing diverse perspectives on current issues. Her favorite activities include checking out new local businesses around Wichita, taking yoga/fitness classes and curling up with her two cats and a good book. She is looking forward to learning more about the news and being a full-time member of the Channel 12 team!
