Gabbi Lumma

Gabbi Lumma s the KCTV5 team after two years in South Bend, Indiana, where she was a reporter and the Weekend Morning Anchor. Originally from Leawood, Kansas, Gabbi is more than excited to get back to her hometown. Her alma mater is Blue Valley North (GO Mustangs!), where she was on the North Star Dance Team. 1w6k3r

Gabbi moved to Chicago where she attended Loyola Chicago, majoring in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Spanish. Fun fact – Gabbi is fluent! While at Loyola, she was heavily involved in sports reporting, eventually becoming Assistant Sports Editor for the Loyola Phoenix and Executive Producer for the University’s only student-run broadcast show, Rambler Sports Locker.

Back in her hometown, Gabbi is excited to connect with the community she’s always cared so deeply for. A sports lover at heart, Gabbi is a Chiefs, Royals and KU Jayhawks fan. You can catch her doing Pilates, going for a run around Loose Park or trying out a fun new restaurant/bar in her free time. Make sure to say hello if you see Gabbi out and about!
